Watercolor Hugs

Hi there,

I created this Watercolor Flower Card for Anjas Basteltraum:

• stamp two bouquets from the Anjas Basteltraum Blumengrüße set with Distress Ink Antique Linen onto a piece of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper
• color the image with Schmincke Horadam watercolors
• add some splatters with blue, pink and white watercolors
• cut out the Memory Box Big Hugs Sugar Script from watercolor paper and add shading with watercolors
• use vellum for the background layer of the sentiment
• add some accents to the sentiment with WOW! Perissa embossing powder#
• add a strip of Distress Cardstock Dusty Concord to the left and right of the watercolor panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Hi there,

I created this underwater greeting card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• create a background on a rectangular piece of soft white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink (Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire)
• stamp the Karten-Kunst Meeres-Schnecken with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• add some water droplets for more texture
• wrap a strip of torn vellum around the panel
• cut out the Karten-Kunst Alles Gute from Distress Cardstock Chipped Sapphire and adhere it to the vellum
• add strips of that same dark blue cardstock tot he left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Happy Birthday Owl

Hi there,

I would like to show you some projects using the adorable new Gerda Steiner Designs stamp sets over the next couple of weeks. This first card uses one of the owls from the Gerda Steiner Designs Owl rather be set:

• color one of the owls and a branch from the Gerda Steiner Designs Owl rather be set with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper and stamp three balloons from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Versafine Smokey Gray 
• color the balloons and the background with Distress Oxide Re-Inkers (Peacock Feathers, Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass)
• stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Primary Parma Violet
• layer the watercolor panel on top of a piece of Distress Cardstock Dusty Concord before adhering it to a cardbase
• glue on some natural twine as balloon strings

I created this clean and simple card for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

• stamp the adorable image from the My Favorite Things You have my Heart set with Memento Gray Flannel and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
• stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with the same ink
• create a cloud background with the help of the My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil, Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
• add two strips of Distress Cardstock Dusty Concord to the left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase

Hi there,

I would like to show you this adorable project over on the A Day for Daisies Blog:

• color the adorable A Day for Daisies Miss Polly Clown with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
• ink up the edges and part of the background with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord)
• stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• mount the panel onto a piece of matching Distress Cardstock before adhering it to a cardbase
• add highlights with a white gel pen and Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy to the nose for extra sparkle and dimension

Snowglobe Tag

Hi there,

when I first saw the Tim Holtz Snowglobe Die Set I knew that I had to have it. Here is my creation using it for the Stamping-Fairies Blog:

• cut out all the elements of the Tim Holtz Snowglobe die set from watercolor paper, Distress Cardstock, Kraft-Core Nostalgic cardstock and golden glitter cardstock
• add shadows to all the little pieces with Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
• create a background on the watercolor panel with Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot)
• spitz the background panel with Sheer Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and add splatters with white watercolor paint
• punch out a little star at the top to turn it into a tag and thread twine through this star-shaped hole

• cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• stamp the STAMPlorations Dogwood Large with Versafine (Smokey Gray) several times and color the images with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp brush
• add some paint splatters with the colors used on the flowers
• stamp the sentiment from Mama Elephant Confetti with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• adhere the panel to a panel from Distress Cardstock (Dusty Concord)
• add some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (6mm and 4mm Sparkling Clear) as final embellishment

• stamp the super adorable little elephant from the Happy Little Stampers Birthday Friends stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta Markers and a white gel pen
• cut a stitched panel from Mixed Media Paper using the Waltzingmouse Stamps Stitched Rectangles and create a background with Gelatos (Fig, Strawberry, Elderberry)
• cover the Gelato-Layer with heavy white gesso and wipe away the gesso with a baby wipe through the My Favorite Things Large Polks Dots stencil
• add splatters using watered-down Gelatos (Watermelon) and Prima Marketing Color Bloom Iris
• stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with VersaMagic (Midnight Black)
• adhere the elephant to a stitched banner cut from acetate using the My Favorite Things Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX
• use Distress Cardstock (Dusty Concord) as a base
• add some dots with Dina Wakley Heavy Body Acrylic Paint (Sterling); tap the cardpanel from behind to make them round and even

this week we are showcasing the beautiful Mucha Style Flowers over at A Day for Daisies:

• on this card I tried something that I haven't tried before: I heat-embossed a digital image
• print the A Day for Daisies Mucha Style Yellow Poppy Stem on watercolor paper and follow the lines with an emboss writer - heat-emboss the image using WOW! Metallic Platinum embossing powder
• color the flower and the background with Distress Re-Inkers (Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Festive Berries, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Pumice Stone) and add splatters with ink from the Distress Re-Inker (Hickory Smoke)
• cut out a panel with the help of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Scalloped Stitched Rectangles
• mat the watercolor panel on a stitched panel cut from Distress Cardstock (Crushed Olive)
• heat-emboss a strip of white cardstock with the same embossing powder used on the flower and cut out the sentiment using one of the Penny Black Doodles dies

on today's card I am featuring the A Day for Daisies Fancy Lettuce as a background:

• cut out a panel from Distress Cardstock (Dusty Concord) amd a slightly smaller panel from watercolor paper using the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• color the watercolor panel with Distress Inks (Milled Lavender, Dusty Concord, Bundled Sage) and spritz it with Pearlized Water
• color the A Day for Daisies Fancy Lettuce with Spectrum Noir Pencils and Zest-it and use three of them as a background
• color the A Day for Daisies Bunny Ears using the same colored pencils, cover the bow with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter and add details using a white gel pen 
• cut out a stitched banner with the help of the My Favorite Thing Stitched Fishtail Flag STAX from vellum
• stamp the sentiment from Lili of the Valley Handwritten Phrases with Versamark and heat-emboss it with purple embossing powder
