Watercolor Hugs

Hi there,

I created this Watercolor Flower Card for Anjas Basteltraum:

  • stamp two bouquets from the Anjas Basteltraum Blumengrüße set with Distress Ink Antique Linen onto a piece of Arches cold pressed watercolor paper
  • color the image with Schmincke Horadam watercolors
  • add some splatters with blue, pink and white watercolors
  • cut out the Memory Box Big Hugs Sugar Script from watercolor paper and add shading with watercolors
  • use vellum for the background layer of the sentiment
  • add some accents to the sentiment with WOW! Perissa embossing powder#
  • add a strip of Distress Cardstock Dusty Concord to the left and right of the watercolor panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Best Wishes

Hi there,

I created this underwater greeting card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • create a background on a rectangular piece of soft white cardstock using Distress Oxide Ink (Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire)
  • stamp the Karten-Kunst Meeres-Schnecken with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • add some water droplets for more texture
  • wrap a strip of torn vellum around the panel
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Alles Gute from Distress Cardstock Chipped Sapphire and adhere it to the vellum
  • add strips of that same dark blue cardstock tot he left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Happy Birthday Owl

Hi there,

I would like to show you some projects using the adorable new Gerda Steiner Designs stamp sets over the next couple of weeks. This first card uses one of the owls from the Gerda Steiner Designs Owl rather be set:

  • color one of the owls and a branch from the Gerda Steiner Designs Owl rather be set with Faber-Castell Albrecht-Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper and stamp three balloons from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Versafine Smokey Gray 
  • color the balloons and the background with Distress Oxide Re-Inkers (Peacock Feathers, Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass)
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Primary Parma Violet
  • layer the watercolor panel on top of a piece of Distress Cardstock Dusty Concord before adhering it to a cardbase
  • glue on some natural twine as balloon strings

You're so good for my Heart

Hi there,

I created this clean and simple card for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

  • stamp the adorable image from the My Favorite Things You have my Heart set with Memento Gray Flannel and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with the same ink
  • create a cloud background with the help of the My Favorite Things Cloud Stencil, Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • add two strips of Distress Cardstock Dusty Concord to the left and right side of the panel before adhering it to a white cardbase

Clown Hugs

Hi there,

I would like to show you this adorable project over on the A Day for Daisies Blog:

  • color the adorable A Day for Daisies Miss Polly Clown with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
  • ink up the edges and part of the background with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord)
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • mount the panel onto a piece of matching Distress Cardstock before adhering it to a cardbase
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and Distress Stickles Clear Rock Candy to the nose for extra sparkle and dimension

Snowglobe Tag

Hi there,

when I first saw the Tim Holtz Snowglobe Die Set I knew that I had to have it. Here is my creation using it for the Stamping-Fairies Blog:

  • cut out all the elements of the Tim Holtz Snowglobe die set from watercolor paper, Distress Cardstock, Kraft-Core Nostalgic cardstock and golden glitter cardstock
  • add shadows to all the little pieces with Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • create a background on the watercolor panel with Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot)
  • spitz the background panel with Sheer Shimmer Spritz Sparkle and add splatters with white watercolor paint
  • punch out a little star at the top to turn it into a tag and thread twine through this star-shaped hole
