Get well soon Mermaid Tag

Hi there,

it's time for a new Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More and I would like to show you this cute little underwater scene:

  • stamp the underwater scene using stamps from the Lawn Fawn Mermaid for you set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) onto a tag cut from watercolor paper
  • color the image with ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens, Distress Markers and a waterbrush
  • create a background using Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) and a waterbrush
  • add some tiny dots with Pearlized Water, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the tail of the mermaid, some details to the seahorse with a white gel pen and texture to the stone with Distress Markers
  • use the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen randomly on the edges of the tag and attach some Deco Foil Teal to the sticky areas
  • stamp the sentiment from the Uniko Simply Said stamp set with Versafine Deep Lagoon
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Salty Ocean) and thread it through the hole of the tag

I hope you got inspired.

Hello Flower Tag

Hi there,

I have a new project on the Stamping-Fairies Blog for you today. I played with some new Alcohol Ink Colors and Compressed Air:

  • cut a tag from Yupo and use some Alcohol Inks (Juniper, Flamingo, Limeade, Willow) and Compressed Air to create a loose flower background
  • draw in some outlines and a sketched frame around the tag using a black Fude Ball Pen
  • add dots to the center of the flowers with that same black pen and a golden gel pen
  • cut the "Hello" from the My Favorite Things Hellothere die set once from pink cardstock and once from black cardstock
  • foil the bottom part of the sentiment with the help of the DecoFoil Adhesive Pen and Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Foil (Pink Gold Ombre)
  • glue the black sentiment slightly offset on top of the pink sentiment
  • thread a piece of matching Sari Silk Ribbon through the hole of the tag

Here is a close-up of the foiled sentiment:

Thanks for stopping by.

For you - Für Dich

Hi there,

I would like to show you this cute card that I created for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • stamp several ladybugs and little daisies from the My Favorite Things Things with Wings stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black onto a stitched watercolor paper panel
  • color the images using Distress Inks (Festive Berries, Tumbled Glass, Wild Honey) and a waterbrush
  • color a piece of white cardstock with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) and cut out the Karten-Kunst Für Dich
  • cover the bottom part of the die cut sentiment with the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen and add blue foil
  • add a cross-stitched border using one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Borders to a strip of vellum and wrap it around the panel
  • adhere the sentiment to the vellum and add a strip of black cardstock and red glitter cardstock to the left side of the card before adhering it to a white cardbase

You melt my Heart

Hi there,

we are starting a fun new Theme Challenge over at Cupcake Inspirations today:

  • stamp several ice cream cones from the Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) onto a die cut circle
  • color the images and the background with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers
  • add a line around the images with a white gel pen
  • cut the My Favorite Things Stitched Circle Scallop Frame three times - twice from sturdy white cardstock and once from patterned paper from the Avery Elle Sorbet Collection - glue them on top of each other in order to create a nice dimensional frame
  • stamp a background onto a white cardbase using the Lawn Fawn Teeny Tiny Backdrops and Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Tide Pool)
  • round the two top corners with a 1'' corner rounder
  • stamp the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black) onto a strip of white cardstock - I used my MISTI to stamp it twice for a really crisp impression
  • randomly cover the edges on the right and left side of the sentiment strip with the Deco Foil Adhesive Pen and cover the glue with Deco Foil (Teal)
