I love Winter Snowman

Hi there,

welcome to our first Happy Little Stampers Mixed Media Challenge in 2017 - this time we would like to see some layers on your project:

  • stamp the adorable Whipper Snapper Designs Sawyer twice with Memento (Tuxedo Black)
  • color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • cut out the hat and the mittens and add them on top of the other image
  • add white Radiant Neon Amplify on the snowy areas on his hat and nose
  • cut out the Lil' Inker Designs Instant Camera frame three times - once from watercolor paper, once from patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Wood 6x6 paper pad and a third time from patterned paper from the Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa 6x6 paper pad
  • layer the patterend paper frames on top of each other and create a background on the negative of the watercolor frame with Distress Inks (Broken China, Peacock Feathers) and Pearlized Water
  • layer torn strips of patterend paper from the Crate Paper Snow & Cocoa 6x6 paper pad and vellum to create a backdrop for the frame on a white cardbase
  • create a sentment using the Dymo Label Maker and add a white glitter heart cut with the help of the Mama Elephant Confetti die

I hope you got inspired.

Merry Christmas Reindeer

Hi there,

it's time for a Photo Inspiration Challenge over on the Addicted to Stamps and More Blog. My creation was inspired by the vintage-looking font and the color combo:

  • stamp Whipper Snapper Designs Ringo & Starr onto a stitched panel of Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
  • create a background with the help of the Lili of the Valley Grunge Christmas Postmarks and Versafine (Olympia Green, Crimson Red)
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with red and green ink as well, cut it out, cover it with Versamark and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder for a shiny sticker look
  • color the animals with a basecoat of Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers and add shadows with Prismacolor Colored Pencils and Zest-it
  • add details with a white and golden gel pen
  • stamp the Waltzingmouse Stamps Vintage Christmas Background with Versafine (Vtage Sepia) directly onto a kraft cardbase and adhere the panel with double-sided foam tape

I can't wait to see your creations in the gallery.

Yours,

Kiss the Frog Tag

Hi there,

I have some fantastic news for you - from this month on I am joining the Stamping-Fairies Design Team and this is my first project:

  • stamp the adorable Whipper Snapper Designs A Kiss for Prince with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut a tag from sturdy white cardstock and cover it with white gesso
  • glue down some left-over grungepaper diecuts with gel medium and apply three coats of white gesso on top
  • add some color with Dylusions Paints (Bubblegum Pink, Squeezed Orange)
  • mix some Distress Paint (Black Soot) with Acrylic Glazing Liquid and paint it over the raised areas, let it sit for a moment and wipe it away with a baby wipe - repeat the process until you are happy with the result
  • adhere the frog with gel medium and add a shadow around him with the Stabilo All Pencil
  • apply some Versamarker to the bottom left corner of the little squares and heat-emboss them with WOW! Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder
  • sprinkle on some additional golden embossing powder in random spots and heat-set them as well - start heating the tag from underneath in order to keep the embossing powder on your tag and not everywhere in your craft room
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Inks (Wild Honey, Picked Raspberry) and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • add the sentiment from the Tim Holtz Ideaology Big Chat sticker set and doodle around the edges with a pink and black marker

Here is a close-up of the cute little frog:

Thanks for stopping by.
