Stamp Connection #36

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 36th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"April Showers bring May Flowers"

• cut out a panel from sturdy white cardstock using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles
• cut out a window using the My Favorite Things Rectangular Peek a Boo Window
• use acetate, double-sided foam adhesive, diamonds and sequins to create a shaker element behind that window
• stamp the rain boots, umbrella, cloud and sentiment from the Elizabeth Craft Designs April Showers set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the images with Prismacolor Colored Pencils
• adhere the all the layers to a light-blue cardbase

Hi there,

it is time for a new Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog. The topic is Focus on the Sentiments.

• cover an art journal page cut from extra sturdy watercolor paper with white gesso
• apply Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Stained Glass stencil and let it dry thoroughly
• color the background with Brushos Cobalt Blue
• stamp the elephant and the balloons from the STAMPlorations Tweet Love set with Versafine Onyx Black onto some watercolor paper and color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• cut the CUTplorations Sweet from black cardstock and silver glitter paper and layer both pieces on top of each other

Snowman Tag Trio

Hi there,

since I just love snowmen, I couldn't walk past the Mama Elephant So many Snowmen set and I created this jolly tag trio as inspiration for this month's Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge:

• cut one of the Lawn Fawn Tiny Tags from watercolor paper and from patterned paper from the Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Christmas 6x6 paper pad
• stamp some snowmen from the Mama Elephant So many Snowmen set and different accessories with Versafine Onyx Black - use the masking technique
• color the images with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• cut the bow from the Lawn Fawn Stitched Ornaments die set from three different glitter papers
• thread matching twine through the holes of the tags

Happy Birthday Bear

Hi there,

this is the birthday card that I created for my now eight-year-old daughter Emily and I would like to inspire you to join our Addicted to Stamps and More Anything goes Challenge:

• cut out a stitched rectangle from Dani Peuss cardstock and stamp the Lili of the Valley Candles image with My Favorite Things Extreme Black
• color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
• cut out "Emily" directly from the colored panel using the Lawn Fawn Quinn's Capital ABCs
• cut the name three times from white cardstock and layer the pieces in top of each other before puzzling them back into the panel
• mat the panel onto a piece of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Brights Collection 6x6 paper pad before adhering it to a white cardbase

Easter Blessings

Hi there,

this is another Easter Card using one of the adorable images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends stamp set:

• color the sweet peeking bunny from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends stamp set with Touch Twin Brush, Delta and Copic Markers
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• cut out two stitched rectangles with the help of one of the My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangles - one from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and one from patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design Easter Express 6x6 paper pad
• create a scalloped border using one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 on the patterned paper panel
• stamp a background using the carrot from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Hoppy set and Altenew Crisp Ink Mocha
• color the images with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils 
• stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versamark on a strip of kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with Hero Arts white embossing powder
• mat all the layers onto a dark kraft cardbase
