Whoohooo

Hi there,

I created this fall-themed card using the new Karten-Kunst Uhuuups, so alt schon stamp set:

  • cut out a rectangle from kraft cardstock using one of the Tattered Lace Torn Edge Rectangles
  • stamp the owl and the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Uhuuups, so alt schon set with Versafine Clair Portobello
  • color the image with Derwent Drawing pencils and add highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background with the help of another piece of kraft cardstock and the Spellbinders Oak Forest embossing folder
  • add splatters of watered-down Distress Ink Ground Espresso
  • ink up all the edges with that same brown Distress Ink

Wonderful Easter Time

Hi there,

I created this Easter Card using the beautiful Anjas Basteltraum Osternest stamp set:

  • stamp the willow branch from the Anjas Basteltraum Osternest set with VersaMagic Sahara Sand onto a piece of Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock
  • color the image with Derwent Drawing pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and Wink of Stella Clear glitter
  • stamp the sentiment from the Anjas Basteltraum Kleine Ostersprüche set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Polished Gold Super Fine embossing powder
  • cut out a Tattered Lace Torn Edge Rectangle around the image and add another rectangle cut from darker kraft cardstock underneath before adhering it to a cardbase
  • add some Pinkfresh Studio Glitter Drops as final embellishments

Home is where the Heart is Reveal Wheel

Hi there,

I created this Fall Reveal Wheel Card for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

  • cut out all the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel elements from Gmund Beer Paper Weizen
  • cut out the Lawn Fawn Fall Leaf Add-on from the panel and add the frame cut from kraft cardstock
  • prepare the inside of the reveal wheel with four different fall colors of Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Vintage Photo, Fired Brick, Rusty Hinge)
  • mist the wheel with gold spray for more texture and shine
  • stamp a little scene using stamps from the Lawn Fawn Happy Village and Village Shops stamp sets with Memento Rich Cocoa
  • color the images with Derwent Drawing pencils
  • embellish the little heart on the door with Nuvo Crystal Drops Red Berry
  • mount the panel onto a scalloped stitched rectangle before adhering it to an off-white cardbase

Guinea Pig Tag

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you another creation using the adorable new Wheek, wheek, wheek ... Guinea Pig stamp set:

  • color one of the sweet little guinea pigs from the Gerda Steiner Designs Wheek, wheek, wheek ... Guinea Pig stamp set with Derwent Drawing Pencils and Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils 
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out a tag from patterned paper from the Maja Design Walking in the Forest 6x6 paper pad with the help of one of the dies from the My Favorite Things Tag Builder Blueprints 5 set
  • cut a stitched banner shape around the sentiment from the same set and add some color with Distress Oxide Ink Peacock Feathers
  • add kraft hole enforcer and a piece of linen ribbon to the hole of the tag

Hello little Lion

Hi there,

I created this sweet Tag Card for Elizabeth Craft Designs:

  • stamp the sweet little lion from the ModaScrap Puppies Boy set with My Favorite Things Extreme Black and color the image with Derwent Drawing Pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out one ModaScrap Love, Life Tag from watercolor paper and one from patterned paper from the ModaScrap Color of Puppies Boy 6x6 paper pad
  • add color to the watercolor tag by applying Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap, Forest Moss, Crushed Olive) with a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • cut out the larger Elizabeth Craft Designs Maidenhair Fern from Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock and color it with a Touch Twin Brush Marker
  • use the Susan's Garden Tool Set and PanPastels to achieve a realistic finish
  • speckle a white cardbase with watered-down Distress Ink Forest Moss, add the fern and glue the tags on top
  • cut out the "hello" from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Thinking of you die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs Olive Twist Soft Finish Cardstock twice and layer them both on top of each other
  • thread two strands of natural twine through the holes of the tag

Lettuce be Friends forever

Hi there,

after showing you creations using the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends set over the last couple of weeks, this post features the adorable new Wheek, wheek, wheek ... Guinea Pigs stamp set:

  • color the sweet little guinea pig, lettuce and a cucumber slice from the Gerda Steiner Designs Wheek, wheek, wheek ... Guinea Pigs stamp set with Derwent Drawing Pencils and Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils 
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out two rectangles using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Rectangles - one from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and one from patterned paper from the Maja Design Life in the Country 6x6 paper pad
  • add an Avery Elle Dotted Border to the patterned paper piece
  • stamp a background using stamps from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Garden Fresh set and Altenew Crisp Ink Mocha
  • cut a banner shape around the sentiment from the same set and add some color using Distress Ink Fossilized Amber
  • mat all the layers onto a dark kraft card base

Have an egg-stra special Day

Hi there,

here is another Easter Creation using the wonderful new Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends stamp set:

  • color the adorable little bunny from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends stamp set with Derwent Drawing Pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out a panel with the help of one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Rectangles 
  • add clouds using the My Favorite Things Cloud stencil and PanPastel Phthalo Blue Tint
  • cut out a grass border using green cardstock and one of the Lawn Fawn Meadow Borders - add shading with PanPastel Permanent Green
  • use the sentiment from the same stamps set and cut out a banner shape around it

Peeking Easter Friends

Hi there,

Gerda Steiner Designs has released this wonderful new Easter set called Peeking Easter Friends:


  • color the image from the Gerda Steiner Designs Peeking Easter Friends set with Derwent Drawing Pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out two egg shapes with the help of one of the Taylored Expressions Egg Stacklets - one from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and one from patterned paper from the Doodlebug Designs Easter Express 6x6 paper pad
  • cut away the bottom part of the patterned paper egg and ink up its edges with Distress Oxide Ink Picked Raspberry
  • run the kraft egg through your Big Shot together with a Dot embossing folder and ink up the bottom edge with Distress Ink Frayed Burlap
  • cut out a banner from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and stamp the sentiment Karten-Kunst Frohe Ostern (Happy Easter) with Versafine Vintage Sepia
  • thread some natural twine through a punched flower-shaped hole at the top of the egg shape

Merry Christmas Mouse

Hi there,

this is my third creation using the new Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter (Winter Critters) stamp set:

  • stamp the sweet little mouse from the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Derwent Drawing pencils
  • cut out a wonky stitched rectangle from confetti white cardstock and cut the sentiment from the Karten Kunst Kreistexte Ein frohes Weihnachtsfest from that panel as well
  • cut the sentiment again but this time from turquoise glitter cardstock 
  • layer a piece of acetate behind the panel and puzzle the white little pieces back into the gaps to create that wonderful inlaid look
  • I used Multi Medium Matte here
  • add color to a white piece of cardstock with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass
  • cut out a little stitched hill-shape using one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Snow Drifts
  • create a christmasy background using the snowflakes from the same stamps set and Hero Arts Shadow Ink Silver
  • layer the panel on a piece of kraft cardstock before adhering it to a white cardbase

Merry Christmas Reindeer

Hi there,

here's another creation using the new Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter (Winter Critters) stamp set:

  • stamp the adorable little reindeer from the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Derwent Drawing pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and Glossy Accents to its nose
  • cut out a stitched rectangle and a stitched hill-shape from Bristol Smooth cardstock
  • add color to the background with Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China, Faded Jeans) and mist it with water
  • add tiny snowflake splatters with watered-down acrylic paint
  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Kleine Texte Frohe Weihnachten from beige cardstock
  • adhere the panel to a kraft cardbase
  • add Neat & Tangled Like Magic Sequins as final embellishments

Merry Christmas Bunny

Hi there,

today, I am using a super adorable new stamp set from the Karten-Kunst Shop called "Viecher im Winter" (Winter Critters):

  • stamp the sweet little bunny from the Karten-Kunst Viecher im Winter set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Derwent Drawing pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and Glossy Accents to its nose
  • cut out a stitched rectangle from confetti white cardstock and cut the sentiment from the Karten Kunst Kreistexte Ein frohes Weihnachtsfest from that panel as well
  • cut the sentiment again but this time from blue grey cardstock 
  • layer a piece of acetate behind the panel and puzzle the white little pieces back into the gaps to create that wonderful inlaid look
  • I used Multi Medium Matte here
  • add some snowflakes to the acetate window using Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss White - and let them dry thoroughly
  • before adhering the panel to a white cardbase we need to create that multi-layered background
  • add color to a white piece of cardstock with Distress Oxide Ink Salty Ocean and mist it with pearlized water
  • cut out the Poppy Stamps House in the Woods from confetti white cardstock and cut away the little house for we want to use the bunny as out focal point
  • cut a little hill shape from confetti white cardstock for the bunny to sleep on

Stamp Connection #25

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 25th transatlantic get-together!

This time we have a special guest. Cornelia invited the wonderful Suchi from Suchi's Cardstock to share her creation with us. So make sure to visit her blog.

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
Fire



  • cut out a Tim Holtz Stitched Oval from watercolor paper 
  • create a background using Brushos (Light Brown) and Color Burst (Indigo)
  • sprinkle on some stars using Finetec Mica Watercolors (Silver Dragon, Arabic Gold)
  • stamp a squirrel, a bear, a stick, a marshmallow and the fire from the Lawn Fawn Love you s'more set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) and color the images with a base coat of Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add shadows with Derwent Drawing Pencils
  • cut out a Tim Holtz Stitched Rectangle from Kraft Cardstock and add some stars stamped with Delicata (Golden Glitz) to the background
  • cut out a sentiment strip with the help of the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 set
  • stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
