Hi there,

welcome to the second day of the Skipping Stones Design Release Blog Hop. This is my creation:

• cut out a banner from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock using the Create a Smile Stacked Pierced Banners, stamp several panties and the sentiment from the Skipping Stones Design Funderwear stamp set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils, a Dove Blender Pen and a white gel pen
• create a patterned paper background with the help of the Maja Design Summer Crush 6x6 paper pad and the Memory Box Stitched Hexagon Layers
• cut out a stitched rectangle from this background using the Waltzingmouse Stamps Stitched Rectangles and layer this panel onto a scalloped panel from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock cut with the Waltzingmouse Stamps Scalloped Stitched Rectangles

it's the first Saturday of the month and that means we are all set for our Sketch Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

• cut a banner from patterned paper from the Fancy Pants Timbergrove 6x6 paper pad and adhere it to a Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardbase
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages and the stockings from Newton's Nook Holiday Wishes with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• embellish the cardbase with dots and stars from the WPlus9 Little Bits set - stamp them with Versafine (Majestic Blue, Crimson Red, Olympia Green)
• round the top right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

Elephant End

Hi there,

this is my third post as a Guest Designer for Skipping Stones Design and I created a Front-and-Back Spinner Card for you:

• stamp the front of the elephant from Skipping Stones Design Elephant End with Versafine (Smokey Gray) on watercolor paper 
• create a mirror-stamped image of the elephant's back from the same stamp set by stamping it on the backside of a large acrylic stamp or on the back of an unmounted rubber stamp; stamp that on a piece of watercolor paper as well; the lines won't be too crisp but you can always go over them with your Memento Marker (London Fog) after coloring
• color the images using Art Grip Aquarelle Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• glue the two parts on top of each other with a piece of silver thread in between
• cut out a circle from a white card panel and from a white cardbase with the help of the Avery Elle Double Pierced Circles
• apply some Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Spun Sugar) through the Create a Smile Wave of Stars stencil and stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• assemble the card by glueing the panel behind the cardfront with the ends of the silver thread in between

Karten-Kunst Dies #3

Hi there,

this is the third part of my series showcasing the new Karten-Kunst Dies over at the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out a circle using the My Favorite Things Stitched Circle STAX from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock
• stamp some of the small images from Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) and color them with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• stamp additional filler items with Delicata (Golden Glitz)
• cut out Frohes Fest from the circle - this was quite tricky because the die consists of only one piece - I had to use the partial die-cutting technique here
• cut the same sentiment from kraft cardstock and layer all of them on top of each other
• add twine and some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (Sparkling Clear 4mm and 6mm)
• cover the sentiment with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
• round the two bottom corners with your 1'' corner rounder

• cut out a panel from watercolor paper with the help of the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers
• stamp one of the dogs, the rabbit and one of the cats from the STAMPlorations Pets set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) using the masking technique
• add the sentiment from the same set with the same ink color
• color the pets and create a background with Faber-Castell Art Grip Aquarelle Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• stamp the dot pattern from STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge with Distress Ink (Pumice Stone, Tumbled Glass) and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Salty Ocean)
• mount the panel onto a Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardbase

we are having a fun theme challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown this week:

• stamp the lovely elf girl from Waltzingmouse Stamps Elf Made with Memento (Tuxedo Black) on Perfect Coloouring Paper and color the image with Delta Markers
• add Glossy Accents to the two little berries and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to the tips of the paint brushes
• create a background on Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Cardstock by stamping the little chocolates from the same stamp set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) - I used second generation stamping here to make it look more subtle
• color the chocolates with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• stamp the sentiment with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)

• cut a piece of Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Cardstock into panels according to the sketch
• stamp the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Let it Snow with Versamark and heat-emboss with WOW! Vintage Peacock embossing powder 
• stamp the stars and the snowflakes from Lawn Fawn Trim the Tree with Colorbox Silver and the bows, the baubles, the stockings, the gingerbread men, the presents and the candy canes from the same stamp set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils, the Dove Blender Pen, a white gel pen and Liquid Applique
• handdraw a faux stitched line around each panel with a Memento Marker (Gray Flannel)
• mount the panels on a piece of dark blue glitter cardstock

today, I would like to show you this colorful card:

• cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper and create a background with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China) and the masks from the Hero Arts Cloudy stencil
• paper-piece the hot air balloon from Lawn Fawn Blue Skies with the help of the Lawn Fawn Let's Polka 6x6 petite paper pack
• stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set on a strip of vellum with Versamark and heat-emboss with Wendy Vecchi Watering Can embossing powder
• use Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Cardstock as a cardbase and stamp images from Lawn Fawn Quinn's 123s and Lawn Fawn Birthday Tags using Avery Elle Kraft Pigment Ink and Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Butter Bar, Pale Tomato, Tide Pool) - color the numbers using Derwent Inktense Pencils and the Dove Blender Pen
• add three Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (6mm Sparkling Clear) as final embellishments

Christmas Gift Bag

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this cute little kraft gift bag, that I created for the Lawnscaping Challenge:

• cut a gift bag from kraft paper and stamp a pattern on it using Lawn Fawn Quinn's 123s and Lawn Fawn Critters in the Arctic
• cut a square from Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and draw a frame on it with a dark sepia PITT Artist Pen; mask the edges with Eclipse Tape and stamp the moose from Lawn Fawn Critters in the Arctic with Versafine Vintage Sepia
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• to give the square the look of a vintage stamp cover the edges with Distress Ink (Walnut Stain)
• punch a hole in the little tag and adhere it to the bag with Lawn Fawn Mistletoe Twine

• heat-emboss with detail white embossing powder 
• color the butterflies with Inktense Watercolor Pencils and Dove Blender Pen
• stamp sentiment from Hero Arts All Occasion Messages with Versafine Vintage Sepia

I would like to participate in the following challenges:

I mainly got inspired by the Muse Challenge #7 - like Beverley I also used butterflies with a white outline on kraft cardstock.I did not apply a whitewash first. For this reason, the colors are brighter and less pastel looking.
