Vintage Snowman

Hi there,

sadly, this is my last post as a Design Team Member of the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. I loved creating with this fabulous team. Thanks for having me. Our topic for the next two weeks is "Pick a Previous Challenge from 2015":

• stamp the cute little snowman from the Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends stamp set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) and color the image with Color Bursts (Sepia)
• create a background on watercolor paper using Color Bursts (Sepia) and cut out a tag with the help of the Paper Smooches Gift Tags 2 dies
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Chipped Sapphire)
• apply golden embossing paste through the Memory Box Winter Tiny Snowflakes stencil
• cut out a hillshape, cover it with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Judi Kins White Diamond embossing powder
• stamp the sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs Deck the Halls with Versamark on a strip of vellum and heat-emboss it with Judi Kins Metallic Gold embossing powder
• thread two strings of brown twine through the hole of the tag
• run a panel of brown cardstock through the Big Shot using the Sizzix Plaid embossing folder

we would like you to use "Sponging or Brayering" for our Technique Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown this week:

• stamp the cute little owl from WPlus9 Winter Pals with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta Markers and Wink of Stella Clear Glitter
• cut out a banner from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock using the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 and stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages with Versafine (Deep Lagoon)
• create a background on watercolor paper using a brayer and Distress Paints (Evergreen Bough, Peacock Feathers, Dusty Concord, Chipped Sapphire)
• cut out a tag from this background using the Lil' Inker Designs Anytime Tags
• thread Prima Marketing Jute Trim Wheat through the star-shaped hole of the tag
• prepare a kraft cardbase by stamping the My Favorite Things Linen Background with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Seafoam White Super Fine embossing powder

it's time for our Theme Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown. This week is all about "Friends and Family":

• stamp a lovely little penguin family using the Mama Elephant Arctic Penguins set and Memento (Tuxedo Black) 
• color the penguins with Delta Markers
• stamp the first part of the sentiment using Mama Elephant Jolly and Merry with Versafine (Majestic Blue), the second part of the sentiment from the same set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and the third part of the sentiment from The Alley Way Stamps Monster Mash with the same black ink
• create a background on a white cardbase using the My Favorite Things Swiss Dots Background and Avery Elle Pigment Ink (Silver Fox)
• add a strip of striped washi tape to the cardbase and adhere the image panel using foam tape

it's time for another Colour Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

• stamp one of the wreaths from WPlus9 Woodland Wreaths with Versafine (Olympia Green) onto a Neenah Desert Storm kraft panel
• add the second part of the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages with Versafine (Imperial Purple)
• cut out the first part of the sentiment from foiled cardstock using a WPlus9 Handlettered Holiday die
• adhere it to another kraft panel cut with the help of a WPlus9 Sunshine Layers die
• add Neat & Tangles Sequins (large and small from the Mermaid Tail Sequin Mix) as final embellishments

• cut a banner from patterned paper from the Fancy Pants Timbergrove 6x6 paper pad and adhere it to a Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardbase
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages and the stockings from Newton's Nook Holiday Wishes with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a Dove Blender Pen
• embellish the cardbase with dots and stars from the WPlus9 Little Bits set - stamp them with Versafine (Majestic Blue, Crimson Red, Olympia Green)
• round the top right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

since it is the fifth Saturday of the month, we are having a Pick a Previous Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

July 2015 - Snowman

• cut out two tags using the Lil' Inker Designs Anytime Tags dies - one from Perfect Colouring Paper and one from patterned paper from the Doodlebug Design Frosty Friends 6x6 paper pad
• stamp the cute little snowman from Penny Black Jolly Friends with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta Markers
• add details with a white gel pen and add Distress Glitter (Clear Rock Candy) to the snow and Stickles (Christmas Red) to the berries
• color the sky using Jaxell Soft Pastels and a pompon
• emboss Taylored Expressions Snowfall on a piece of white cardstock
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Sweet Little Sentiments with Versamark, heat-emboss it with Wendy Vecchi embossing powder (Cornflower Blue) and wrap it around the dry-embossed background panel
• create a matching cardbase by adding the same light blue Delta Marker used for the scarf to the edges
• thread Lawn Fawn Silver Saprkle twine through the star-shaped holes of the tags
