this week we are having a Theme Challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

• stamp the little hedgehog from Penny Black Jolly Friends with Versafine (Onyx Black) on watercolor paper
• cut it out with the My Favorite Things Inside & Out Stitched Rounded Square STAX and color it with Faber-Castell Art Grip Aquarelle Pencils and a waterbrush
• add snow with the irRESISTible Pico Embellisher (Wedding Dress)
• cut out two banners with the Avery Elle Wonky Stitches dies and a sentiment strip from a leftover piece of a monoprint
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages with StazOn (Spiced Chai)
• add the Lawn Fawn Argyle Backdrops with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) to a kraft cardbase

Hi there,

this week we are showcasing the beautiful Mucha Style Flowers over at A Day for Daisies:

• on this card I tried something that I haven't tried before: I heat-embossed a digital image
• print the A Day for Daisies Mucha Style Yellow Poppy Stem on watercolor paper and follow the lines with an emboss writer - heat-emboss the image using WOW! Metallic Platinum embossing powder
• color the flower and the background with Distress Re-Inkers (Bundled Sage, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Festive Berries, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany, Pumice Stone) and add splatters with ink from the Distress Re-Inker (Hickory Smoke)
• cut out a panel with the help of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Scalloped Stitched Rectangles
• mat the watercolor panel on a stitched panel cut from Distress Cardstock (Crushed Olive)
• heat-emboss a strip of white cardstock with the same embossing powder used on the flower and cut out the sentiment using one of the Penny Black Doodles dies

Hi there,

I created this card packed with different techniques for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• partially die cut the Memory Box Fairytale Flower Border from white cardstock and add the stitched border from My Favorite Things Blueprints 20
• stamp the sentiment from the new Karten-Kunst Große Worte Überraschung with Brilliance (Pearlescent Jade)
• create a background on watercolor paper using Distress Ink (Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers) and add Perfect Pearls (Perfect Pearl) for extra shine and an almost metallic finish
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers)

Halloween Shaker

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you how to make this fun Halloween Shaker Card:

• color a piece of watercolor paper with Distress Ink (Shaded Lilac)
• apply Distress Ink (Dusty Concord) through a Tim Holtz Layering Stencil (Shatter) and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Black Soot)
• spritz the background with Pearlized Water 
• cut out a panel from the watercolor piece with the stitched rectangle from the My Favorite Things Blueprints 20 die set
• stamp the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Witch Way is the Candy? stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• cut out a banner with the help of the My Favorite Things Stitched Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX from Perfect Colouring Paper
• stamp the cute critters, the moon and a pumpkin from the same stamp set with Memento (Tuxedo Black); use masking for the row at the bottom and cut out the moon and the bat; add a smaller pumpkin from the My Favorite Things Harvest Mouse set and color the images with Delta Markers
• add details with a white and purple gel pen
• create a background using Jaxell Soft Pastels, the Hero Arts Cloudy stencil and a white pompon
• cover the moon with Glossy Accents and add Distress Glitter (Antique Linen)
• put the whole banner into a shaker bag assembled using the Photo Sleeve Fuse Tool
• add sequins (Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sparkling Clear, Neat & Tangled Plum Metallic Sequins) and stars
