You've got a Friend in me

Hi there,

I totally got inspired by this post on the WPlus9 Blog to create this card:


  • cut a torn rectangle from watercolor paper
  • stamp flowers and leaves from the WPlus9 Modern Peonies set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) and color the images and the background with Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors
  • add some watercolor splatters
  • stamp the sentiment from the WPlus9 Modern Anemones set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
  • stamp some for leaves using the Altenew Crisp Ink (Limestone)
  • adhere the panel to a light grey cardbase

Love

Hi there,

we are starting a new challenge over at the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and this time it's all about Valentines:

  • cut out an Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Square from patterned paper from the ModaScrap My Little Girl 6x6 paper pad and adhere it to a light grey cardbase
  • cut out the solid heart from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Puzzle Heart from watercolor paper and create an ombre background using Distress Inks (Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord)
  • stamp the flower bouquet from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Laundry Party set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • cut out the puzzle from the heart
  • ink the whole frame with Distress Ink Dusty Concord
  • puzzle the heart onto the cardbase using double-sided foam adhesive and raising one puzzle piece slightly higher by using a double layer of the adhesive
  • cut out the love from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Words 2 Thinking of you set from white glitter foam
  • stamp the second part of the sentiment using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Love Sentiments set and Versamark onto a strip of light grey cardstock - heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • embellish the card with clear droplets

With Love Penguin

Hi there,

I created this sweet Valentine's Day card for the Karten-Kunst Blog:

  • cut out the Karten-Kunst Alles Liebe from a piece of watercolor paper
  • stamp one of the adorable little penguins from the Gerda Steiner Designs Valentine Penguins set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • layer a piece of patterned paper from the ModaScrap My little Girl 6x6 paper pad behind the watercolor panel
  • add faux stitching using one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Trails set
  • put a piece of grey cardstock underneath before adhering everything to a white cardbase
  • as a finishing touch add Glossy Accents to the little heart on the envelope for extra shine and dimension

Valentine's Day

Hi there,

I would like to show you this ombre Valentine's Day card over on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog:

  • cut out a stitched rectangle from white cardstock using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles dies
  • stamp the sentiments from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Love Sentiments set with four different colors of Altenew Crisp Ink (Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Grapevine) for an ombre look - I used my Mini MISTI to be able to stamp multiple times
  • emboss the solid heart from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Puzzle Heart set into the cardstock
  • add a strip of red cardstock and of patterned paper from the ModaScrap My Little Girl 6x6 paper pad to the left side of the card panel before adhering everything to a white cardbase

I created this Birthday Card using the sweet giraffe from WPlus9 as inspiration for the Addicted to Stamps and More Anything goes Challenge:

  • stamp the adorable giraffe, the balloon and the sentiment from the Wplus9 Party Animal set with Versafine (Onyx Black) onto a stitched panel of watercolor paper
  • color the image and the background with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • layer the panel onto a piece of purple foiled cardstock before adhering all the layers to the cardbase

Congrats Puppy

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you that you can use stamps from the Gerda Steiner Designs Christmas Puppies set all year round:


  • stamp the adorable little puppy from the Gerda Steiner Designs Christmas Puppies set with Versafine Onyx Black and color the image with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background on a stitched panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock with the help of the Altenew Simple Flowers set, Distress Inks (Aged Mahogany, Pumice Stone, Victorian Velvet) and water from your Mini Mister for a faux watercolor effect
  • add splatters with watered-down Distress Ink Black Soot
  • adhere the puppy to a strip of torn vellum
  • create the sentiment using the Lawn Fawn Big Scripty Words stamp set and the matching dies, Versamark, WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder and a piece of grey cardstock
  • mount all the elements onto a panel of that same grey cardstock used for the sentiment before adhering everything to the cardbase

Hello Sunshine

Hi there,

today, Elizabeth Craft Designs is releasing new products in the Krista Schneider line:

  • cut out a stitched panel from watercolor paper using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles
  • stamp the adorable little cat from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Garden Party set with Versafine Onyx Black and cut it out with the matching die leaving an opening in the panel
  • stamp the flowers from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Laundry Party set into the background - stamp it again partially to the left and the right with that same black ink 
  • create a cardbase from watercolor paper and die cut the cat again from the front side 
  • glue the cat to the inside of the card and stamp little flowers from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Laundry Party set around her head
  • color all the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • partially stamp the sentiment from Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring sentiments set to the inside of the card
  • die cut the "hello" from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Words 2 Thinking of you set from Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock True Blue
  • assemble the card with the help of Elizabeth Craft Designs Clear Double Sided Adhesive 6mm

Easter Bunny Basket

Hi there,

today, Elizabeth Craft Designs is releasing some adorable new products in the Joset van de Burgt line and I created this cute Easter Bunny Card:


  • cut out a stitched panel of watercolor paper using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Rectangles
  • create a hill and some cloud shapes with the help of stencils and Distress Inks (Frayed Burlap, Tumbled Glass)
  • cut out elements from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Bunny die set and the Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring Basket die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock (Lavender, Café au Lait, Dove Gray, Olive Twist) and some light pink cardstock
  • add dimension to the die cuts using Distress Inks (Dusty Concord, Pumice Stone, Hickory Smoke) and a pastel pencil
  • color some Mulberry Paper with Distress Inks (Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass, Dusty Concord)
  • cut out some flowers from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Spring Basket set and some leaves using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Trio of Leaves dies 
  • add some Nuvo Crystal Drops (Dandelion Yellow) to the center of the flowers
  • layer the panel onto a piece of Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock Lavender before adhering it to a cardbase

Dreamers only Art Journal Page

Hi there,

this is just a quick reminder of this month's Mixed Media Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog.

  • cover an art journal page cut from extra sturdy watercolor paper with white gesso
  • apply Prima Marketing Modeling Paste through the ARTplorations Curve Play stencil and let it dry thoroughly
  • add color to the background with Paper Artsy Infusions Emerald Isle
  • use purple foil for extra shine
  • stamp around the edges with one of the stamps from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set and Archival Ink Majestic Violet
  • cut one of the Tim Holtz Wildflowers 2 and the CUTplorations Dragonfly from black cardstock and add those elements to the page
  • dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink Rusty Hinge and tie it around the page
  • add the first part of the sentiment with the help of a Dymo Label Maker - the second part of the sentiment is handwritten

Magical Winter

Hi there,

just a quick reminder of this month's TAGplorations Challenge - the Topic is All about Winter and the Optional Twist is Texture Paste:

  • cut out a CUTplorations Luggage Tag from watercolor paper
  • apply Texture Paste though the ARTplorations All my Stars! Mini stencil
  • stamp some newsprint from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set onto the raised areas with Archival Ink (Black Soot)
  • add color with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst (Tibetian Poppy Teal) and Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Tinsel)
  • ink up the edges of the Tag with Distress Ink (Black Soot) and add Prima Metallique Wax (Brushed Iron) to the raised areas
  • cut out the CUTplorations Magical die directly from the tag and an additional three times from grey cardstock
  • layer a black tag behind the colored one and puzzle all the layer back into the opening for a raised look
  • stamp the second part of the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Joyful set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Metallic Silver embossing powder
  • dye a piece of seam binding with some leftover spray and thread it through the hole of the tag

Do what you love

Hi there,

today, Elizabeth Craft Designs is releasing new dies from the wonderful Susan Tierney-Cockburn Garden Notes line:


  • cut out all the parts needed for three flowers with leaves on a branch with the help of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Dogwood 2 dies
  • use Elizabeth Craft Designs Soft Finish Cardstock Dark Chocolate for the branch and watercolor paper for the flowers and leaves
  • color the flowers and leaves with Pan Pastels (permanent green, magenta tint, diarylide yellow tint, neutral grey shade) and ink up the edges with Distress Inks (Peeled Paint, Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber) for extra dimension
  • assemble the flowers and add Prima Marketing Micro Beads Pollen to the stamen
  • cut out a tag from watercolor paper and cover it with white gesso
  • add watered-down black charcoal powder in some places
  • create some texture using the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge and the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements sets and Archival Ink Black Soot
  • add a touch of blue with Jane Davenport Aquapstels
  • dye a piece of seam binding with that same blue color, rip it apart and thread the strands through the hole of the tag
  • ink up the edges of the tag with black ink
  • add a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk sticker set as sentiment

Start doing things you love

today, Elizabeth Craft Designs is releasing new products in the Becky Seddon line and I would like to show you this tag:


  • cut out the Elizabeth Craft Designs Lake Scene from sturdy light grey cardstock
  • color a piece of watercolor paper with the help of Distress Oxide Inks (Broken China, Salty Ocean, Worn Lipstick) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • add texture with some water droplets
  • glue the Lake Scene onto the watercolor panel and cut out a tag shape
  • dye a piece of seam binding with the same Distress Oxide Ink colors and thread it through the hole of the tag
  • use a sticker from the Tim Holtz Small Talk Sticker set as the sentiment

Stamp Connection #33

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 33rd transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"thank you + embossing folder"


  • stamp one of the cups from the STAMPlorations Big Christmas Cups set with Memento Tuxedo Black and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • stamp three snowflakes from the same set with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Frozen embossing powder
  • cut out a stitched panel from smooth white cardstock and mask off a strip
  • add color to that strip with Distress Ink Weathered Wood and Prima Marketing Mica Powder Blue Opal Magic 
  • run the panel through the Big Shot in one of the We R Memory Keepers Gemstone Next Level embossing folders
  • cut out the CUTplorations thanks three time from smooth white cardstock, layer them on top of each other and add an ombre finish with alcohol markers

We are Moving!

Hi there,

I created this CAS card using the super cute Create a Smile Cart full of Treasures stamp set as Inspiration for this the Addicted to Stamps and More CAS Challenge:


  • stamp the adorable little koala with his wagon from the Create a Smile Cart full of Treasures set with Altenew Crips Ink (Sand Dunes) - I chose a very light ink because I wanted to try some no-line coloring
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils and Zest-it
  • add some highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background behind the koala with the help of the Flora & Fauna Texture Two set, Memento (Gray Flannel) and Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Tide Pool)
  • use those same two inks to stamp kind of an ombre sentiment from the Create a Smile Cart full of Treasure set
  • round the top right corner of the cardbase with a 1'' corner rounder
