So happy we're Friends

Hi there,

I created this cute card using the Gerda Steiner Designs Garden Critters stamp set:

  • stamp the dragonfly from the Gerda Steiner Designs Garden Critters set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black
  • color the image with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers
  • add Distress Stickles Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy to the wings for extra sparkle and shine
  • cut out five hexagons from yellow cardstock with the help of the CREAlies Hexagons die set
  • add some texture with a stamp from the Klartext-Stempel Scribbles set, Versamark and WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • ink up the edges of the hexagons and the card panel with Distress Ink (Fossilized Amber, Rusty Hinge)
  • add some splatters with watered-down Distress Ink Rusty Hinge
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Lovely Pandas set with Versamark onto a strip of Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
  • add strips of kraft cardstock and patterned paper to the left and tight side of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Thanks for stopping by.

Team Unicorn

Hi there,

I have a confession to make: I love unicorns and every time I see a new unicorn stamp set I really have to have it. This one was no exception. I created this sweet rainbow card using the Clearly Besotted Stamps Fairy Tale Unicorn stamp set:

  • cut out a wonky stitched square from watercolor paper and stamp the unicorn and the rainbow from the Clearly Besotted Fairy Tale Unicorn set with My Favorite Things Hybrid Ink Grout Gray - use the masking technique
  • stamp the sentiment from the Klartext-Stempel set Einhorn 3 with Versafine Clair Morning Mist
  • color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
  • cut out a stitched rectangle from patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Party Patterns 6x6 paper pad and another stitched rectangle from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock using the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangle die set
  • adhere the watercolor panel with double-sided foam adhesive for more dimension
  • wrap some silver thread around the panels before adhering all the layers to a cardbase

Leave a little sparkle wherever you go.

  • stamp one of the unicorns from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Fairy Tale Unicorns set with Memento Tuxedo Black and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers - add extra shading with Prismacolor Colored pencils
  • cut out a My Favorite Things Wonky Stitched Rectangle around the scene
  • stamp the sentiment from the Klartext-Stempelset Einhorn with Versafine Onyx Black directly onto the white cardbase

Stamp Connection #48

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 48th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"Unicorns and Rainbows"

  • stamp one of the unicorns from the Klartext Einhorn set with My Favorite Things Extreme Black and color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic markers
  • add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • add some glitter with Wink of Stella clear glitter
  • create a cardbase with the help of the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel die set, patterned paper from the My Favorite Things Itsy Bitsy Polka Dots Pastels 6x6 paper pad, the Lawn Fawn Reveal Wheel Sentiments set, Versafine Onyx Black, white cardstock, kraft cardstock, pink cardstock and a tiny brad
  • add a cloud cut with one of the Mama Elephant Landscape Trio dies, covered with Versamark and heat-embossed with WOW! White Puff Twinkle embossing powder and a rainbow cut from four different colors of glitter paper using the rainbow die from the Sizzix Magical Unicorn set

Now make sure to hop over to see Cornelia's Creation.

Warm Wishes Cup

Hi there,

I created this Winter Card using a non-Winter image for the Skipping Stones Design Blog:

  • stamp the beautiful flower cup from the Skipping Stones Design Coffee Volume #2 set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) onto watercolor paper - I used my MISTI to stamp the image several times to get a crisp impression on the textured surface
  • color the image and the background with Jaxon Aquarelle watercolors
  • add splatters with gold from the same watercolor set
  • stamp the sentiment from the Klartext-Stempel Lasse & Peer set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
  • cut out a black stitched frame with the help of one of the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers and one of the Tattered Lace Torn Edge Rectangles
  • cover the frame with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter for extra sparkle and shine

I hope you got inspired.

Yours,
