here is another creation using the fun new Gerda Steiner Designs Pool Piggies stamp set:

• color one of the adorable Gerda Steiner Designs Pool Piggies with Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer Pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• cut out a tag from watercolor paper and create a background with Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass) and Distress Oxide Ink (Broken China)
• cut out a smaller piece with the same tag die and create a beach with the help of one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Snowdrifts dies - ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Gathered Twigs)
• stamp the palm trees from the Paper Smooches Get outta Town set and the cocktail from the My Favorite Things Penguins in Paradise and color the images with watercolor pencils as well
• stamp two sea gulls from the same Paper Smooches set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• cut out a second tag from patterned paper from the Echo Park Summer Bliss 6x6 paper pad and layer it slightly offset behind the main tag
• cut out a stitched panel from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and stamp a background with the help of the Judi Kins Papyrus stamp and Adirondack Dye Ink (Latte)
• stamp the sentiment from the Market Street Stamps set Tikki Time with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• thread blue and natural twine through the hole of the tag

Christmas Tag #2 - Let it snow

Hi there,

I created four Christmas Tags using Gerda Steiner Designs Stamps for the Karten-Kunst Blog that I will show you on Mondays. Here is the second one:

• cut out a tag from watercolor paper
• stamp the reindeer and some hoof tracks from the Gerda Steiner Designs Snow Angel set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Judi Kins Egyptian Gold embossing powder 
• color the image with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush
• thread teal and natural twine through the hole of the tag

I would like to show you a watercolor Christmas Tag over on the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• cut out a stitched tag form watercolor paper
• stamp one of the adorable little bunnies from the Memory Box Bunny Wishes set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and mask it off
• stamp the poinsettia and two leaves from the Poppy Stamps Poinsettia Peace set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Judi Kins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• color the images and the background with Jaxon Aquarelle watercolors
• stamp the sentiment from the Karten-Kunst Capri Weihnachtspost with Versafine (Onyx Black) and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Mowed Lawn) and thread it through the hole of the tag

Happy Birthday Human Slider Card

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this super fun slider card on the Karten-Kunst Blog:

• create a Galaxy background using Distress Paints (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Shaded Lilac, Chipped Sapphire, Picket Fence)
• stamp several solid stars from the Gerda Steiner Desings Alien Invasion stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss them with Judi Kins Egyptian Gold embossing powder 
• cut out a slider slot using one of the Lawn Fawn Slide on over dies
• stamp the space ship, the alien and two planets from the same stamp set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and color the images with Derwent Inktense pencils and a waterbrush
• add Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay to the planet and the space ship
• use hot glue to adhere two plastic beeds (I didn't want to use a coin or foam tape) to the back of the spaceship and close the slider with a paper strip after putting the beads through the slider slot
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark onto a stitched kraft banner and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• mat the Galaxy panel onto a slightly larger panel of Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardstock embossed with a star pattern - cover the visible strip at the bottom with Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay
• ahere all the layers to a dark kraft cardbase

• stamp the cute little snowman from the Lawn Fawn Making Frosty Friends stamp set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia) and color the image with Color Bursts (Sepia)
• create a background on watercolor paper using Color Bursts (Sepia) and cut out a tag with the help of the Paper Smooches Gift Tags 2 dies
• ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Chipped Sapphire)
• apply golden embossing paste through the Memory Box Winter Tiny Snowflakes stencil
• cut out a hillshape, cover it with Versamark and heat-emboss it with Judi Kins White Diamond embossing powder
• stamp the sentiment from Gerda Steiner Designs Deck the Halls with Versamark on a strip of vellum and heat-emboss it with Judi Kins Metallic Gold embossing powder
• thread two strings of brown twine through the hole of the tag
• run a panel of brown cardstock through the Big Shot using the Sizzix Plaid embossing folder

• create a background on watercolor paper using a piece of acetate, Distress Ink (Cracked Pistacchio) and water
• stamp a cupcake from Mama Elephant Carnival Cupcakes and the flower from Avery Elle More Stories with Memento (Tuxedo Black) on Perfect Colouring Paper and color the images with Delta Markers
• cut out the sentiment from The Lilypad Hand Drawn Words, cover it with Versamark and heat-emboss with JudiKins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• add a little gem on top of the "i"
• use kraft cardstock as a base

Hi there,

today, we are having a color challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

• create a cardbase with two circles cut from Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Cardstock
• stamp the birch trees from Lawn Fawn Joy to the Woods with Avery Elle Kraft Ink
• cut two hill shapes form sturdy white cardstock, cover them with Versamark and heat-emboss with JudiKins White Diamond embossing powder
• apply Viva Decor Modeling Cream Mother of Pearl through the Memory Box Stencil Stardust
• stamp the bear from Lawn Fawn Love you s'more with Versafine (Onyx Black) on watercolor paper and create a mirror-stamped image by stamping the bear on the backside of a large acrylic stamp or on the back of an unmounted rubber stamp and stamp that on a piece of watercolor paper as well; the lines won't be too crisp but you can always go over them with your black PITT Artist Pen
• color the images with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a detailer waterbrush
• cut out a heart from vellum and layer the bears on top of it
• stamp the first part of the sentiment from Lawn Fawn Snow Day and the second part using Clearly Besotted Stamps Sweet Little Sentiments with Avery Elle Kraft Ink on the inside of the card

• create a background on watercolor paper with Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot) and spritz it with pearlized water
• stamp Bethlehem and two additional palm trees from Paper Smooches A Blessed Christmas with Versafine (Onyx Black) and fill in remaining blue space with a black PITT Artist Pen
• stamp the sentiment and the star from the same set with Versamark and heat-emboss with JudiKins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• mat the panel on gold glitter cardstock and adhere everything to a kraft cardbase

Hi there,

today, I would like to show you this shiny und sparkly watercolor card:

• stamp one of the flowers from Altenew Persian Motifs with Versamark on a piece of watercolor paper and heat-emboss with JudiKins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• watercolor the panel with Finetec Mica Watercolors  (mixture of atlas-red and silver pearl, regal bronze, shining reseda, shining aquamarine)
• stamp the sentiment from Altenew Painted Butterflies twice - once with Delicata (Golden Glitz) and once with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• mat the watercoor panel on a piece of princess pink glitter paper
• use vanilla cardstock as a base

• add some hearts by applying Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink through a DIY Heart Stencil - let dry thoroughly
• stamp the sentiment from Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold, and the Happy (I just received it last week) as the one focal point with Versamark and heat-emboss with Judi Kins Egyptian Gold embossing powder
• add background layers using patterned paper from the Little Yello Bicycle Fern & Forest Girl 6x6 paper pad
• punch out three hearts from the leftover part of the watercolor background panel and cover them with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter; adhere them to the card and partially hide one of them under the watercolor panel

Each week we will have a creative colour challenge for you to get crafty and show us your best greeting cards, 3D projects, scrapbooking, digital or traditional paper crafts, costumes, etc. Only the colours we indicate may be used for your project. Neutrals such as black, grey, white, vanilla, skin colours and kraft are also welcome.
