Trick or Treat Ghosts

Hi there,

I created this double slider card using the new Gerda Steiner Designs Boo for you stamp set:

• create a double slider mechanism using the My Favorite Things Stitched Rounded Rectangle STAX, watercolor paper, one of the Kesi'Art Encoches and a piece of plastic
• add color with Distress Oxide Ink Wilted Violet and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
• mist the panels with Pearlized Water for extra texture and shimmer
• color the adorable little ghosts from the Gerda Steiner Designs A Boo for you set with Derwent Graphitint pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• add highlights with a white gel pen
• decorate the bottom panel with candy from the Gerda Steiner Designs Where is the Candy? set using Versamark and WOW! Black Twinkle embossing glitter
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Delicata Black Shimmer onto the top panel
• add some stars from the Gerda Steiner Designs Alien Invasion set with that same black ink 
• Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ebony Black are the final embellishment on the front and top panel
• punch a star-shaped hole into the bottom panel and thread a piece of natural twine through it
• cover a cardbase with patterned paper from the Graphic 45 An eerie Tale 6x6 paper pad before adhering the slider panel

Stamp Connection #31

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 2nd Sunday of the month and this is our 31st transatlantic get-together!

For this meet-up Cornelia chose the topic Faux Letter-Press:

• cut out the Kesi'Art Biche three times from sturdy white cardstock and once from vellum
• glue the layers in top of each other - I thought it would be a good idea to run the whole piece through my Big Shot and that's how the backside picked up all the texture from my cutting plate
• ink up the backside with Altenew Crisp Ink Mocha and emboss the letter press element into a piece of confetti white cardstock
• cut out one of the CUTplorations Tags #1 around the embossed deer
• stamp some snowflakes from the Lili of the Valley Snowflakes and Christmas Trees set with Altenew Crisp Ink Mountain Mist, Volcano Lake and Lagoon
• stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Altenew Crisp Ink Espresso and layer the sentiment strip on top of a piece of teal glitter paper
• ink up the edges of the tag with Altenew Crisp Ink Mocha and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
• dye a piece of torn seam binding with Distress Stain Peacock Feathers and thread it through the hole of the tag

Color outside the Lines

Hi there,

it is Sunday again and that means it is time for a new STAMPlorations Mixed Media Project:

• cut a tag from watercolor paper using the Sizzix Tag Collection and cover it with black gesso
• apply Izink (Opaline) through the ARTplorations Retro Circles stencil
• adhere some pieces of wax crayon onto the left side of the tag with hot glue and melt them with a heat gun
• add a strip of patterned paper from the Avery Elle Neutral Collection 6x6 paper pad
• roll some paper flowers from leftover patterned paper and ink up the edges with Distress Ink (Festive Berries)
• cut the Kesi'Art Brin Évidé from green vellum 
• dye a piece of seam binding with the same Distress Ink and thread it through the hole of the tag
• position the sentiment sticker at the bottom of the tag

Sweet Fairy

Hi there,

today, I am showcasing another sweet image from A Day for Daisies:

• color the A Day for Daisies Flying Fairy Joy with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils and Zest-it
• add Wink of Stella Clear Glitter to her wings and purple gel pen to the tiny flowers
• create a background using Jaxell Soft Pastels, the Hero Arts Cloudy stencil and a white pompon
• use one of the Memory Box Stitched Rectangle Layers to die cut the main panel
• cut out the sentiment with the Kesi'Art Sweet die from double-sided foam adhesive and cover it with Therm-o-Web Deco Foil (Pink Melon)
• emboss a purple cardbase using the We R Memory Keepers Dotted Next Level embossing folder
• add Pretty Pink Posh Sequins (4mm Pink Blush, 4mm Pansy Purple, 6mm Pansy Purple)

Merry Christmas Monster

Hi there,

this week we are having a colour challenge over at the 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown:

• stamp a cute monster from The Alley Way Stamps Monster Mash with a Santa hat from Paper Smooches Chubby Chum Pals and color the image with Delta Markers and Liquid Applique
• cut out a frame and color it with the same pink marker used on the Santa hat
• apply white embossing paste through the Kesi'Art Triangles Pattern stencil onto a kraft card panel
• stamp the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Many Mini Messages with Versafine (Onyx Black)
• round the top left corner and adhere the finished panel to a white cardbase - color the top left corner with the same green marker used to color in the bow of the monster
• add three Freckled Fawn Stars & Such and cover them with Wink of Stella Silver Glitter
