this is just a quick reminder of this month's Stencil Challenge over on the STAMPlorations Blog:

• cut out one of the CUTplorations Manila Tags from watercolor paper
• apply Deco Foil Transfer Gel through the ARTplorations Bold Florals mini stencil and let this dry until it's completely clear - I left it over night
• run the tag through the Mini Minc covered with Heidi Swapp Teal Silver Ombre Foil
• add some color with watered-down Dina Wakley Scribble Stcks
• grunge up the edges with Art Graf Watercolor Graphite
• stamp the pineapple from the STAMPlorations Beach Vibes set with Versamark onto a piece of torn vellum and heat-emboss it with Ranger Sage embossing powder
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Archival Ink Watering Can and heat-emboss it with clear embossing powder
• color the pineapple from the back with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
• wrap the vellum strip around the tag
• add some brown splatters as a finishing touch
• dye a piece of seam binding with color from the brown scribble stick and thread it through the hole of the tag

I created this fun summer tag using stamps from the fabulous STAMPlorations Beach Vibes set as inspiration for the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Challenge:

• cut out a CUTplorations Manila Tag from sturdy kraft cardstock
• apply Transfer Gel through the ARTplorations Bold Florals Mini stencil and let it dry thoroughly
• add two colors of foil to the stenciled area - green to the leaves and pink to the flowers
• run the tag through the Mini Minc
• add white gesso for an aged wooden look
• stamp some images from the STAMPlorations Beach Vibes set with Versafine Clair Pinecone and heat-emboss them with clear embossing powder
• add some texture using stamps from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Elements set and Archival Ink Watering Can
• stamp the sentiment from the same set onto another piece of aged kraft cardstock with that same brown ink
• dye a piece of torn seam binding with Distress Stains (Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Tarnished Brass) and thread the strands through the hole of the tag

Stencil Hop Part 1

Hi there,

Sanna has created some fabulous new stencils and for this reason we are having the Stencil Hop over on the STAMPlorations Blog. I created two very different projects for this occasion.

On my first project I used the ARTplorations Lattice stencil to create a background for my image:

• cut a panel from watercolor paper and apply Distress Oxide Inks (Peacock Feathers, Salty Ocean, Twisted Citron) through the ARTplorations Lattice stencil
• mist the pattern with Pearlized Water for texture and shine
• stamp one of the adorable images from the STAMPlorations Little Love Birthday Wishes set with Memento Tuxedo Black and color it with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
• stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder
• layer a piece of black and white patterned paper underneath the sentiment strip

On my second project I used the ARTplorations Barley stencil:

• cut out an ATC from patterned paper using the CUTplorations ATC/Tag Builder die
• apply transfer gel through the ARTplorations Barley stencil and let it dry thoroughly
• run the ATC through your Mini Minc with some rose gold foil
• grunge up the edges with a black Stabilo All pencil and a wet watercolor brush
• stamp a frame around the ATC using the dot pattern from the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set and Archival Ink Black Soot
• stamp the first part of the sentiment from the STAMPlorations Art Marks set with Versamerk and heat-emboss it with Ranger Rose Gold embossing powder
• write the second part of the sentiment with a dip pen and Dr. Ph. Martin's Bleed Proof White
• add splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint

Be a little Shellfish

Hi there,

I created this sweet Birthday Card for the Stamping-Fairies Facebook Group:

• create a background on Yupo using Alcohol Inks (Cool Peri, Pink Sherbet, Aqua) and cut out a panel with the help of one of the dies from the Clearly Besotted Small Frames die set
• stamp the sweet little shell from the Lawn Fawn Year Six set and color it with Schmincke Horadam and Daniel Smith watercolors
• adhere the shell to the Alcohol Ink panel and the panel to a piece of white cardstock with a shaped edge cut using one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2
• stamp the sentiment from the same Lawn Fawn set with Versafine Onyx Black
• create a background with the help of a printed pattern, the Mini Minc and Heidi Swapp Reactive Foil in light pink
• add two strips of cardstock colored with that same Aqua Alcohol Ink to the left and right of the main panel and adhere all the layers to a white cardbase

• apply Transfer Gel through the ARTplorations Some Birds stencil onto a piece of torn vellum and let this dry until it's clear
• run the vellum strip though the Mini Minc in order to foil the birds
• cut out an ATC from watercolor paper using the CUTplorations ATC/Tag Builder die set
• stamp the STAMPlorations Bloomtangled ATC #1 with Versamark and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing ppowder
• color the image with Ecoline Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
• create the sentiment with a label maker

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop

Hi there,

it's time for another ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop over on the STAMPlorations Blog featuring eight new stencil designs by the wonderful Sanna and these are my projects:

• cut out the largest CUTplorations Manila Tag from sturdy white cardstock and cover it with white gesso
• add a base coat of color with Paper Artsy Infusions Rocky Road
• add some tissue paper using soft matte gel
• stamp elements from the STAMPlorations Scribbly Splattery Grunge set and the STAMPlorations Mixed Media Grunge set with Archival Ink Black Soot
• apply foil transfer gel through the brand new ARTplorations Leaves 1 stencil and let it dry thoroughly
• run the whole tag and a piece of turquoise foil through the Mini Minc or a laminator
• after doing so I found out that the foil adheres to the soft matte gel as well - for this reason I had to use sandpaper to get rid of the foil where I didn't want it
• use a black Stabilo All pencil to darken the edges of the tag
• add some splatters with watered-down white acrylic paint
• stamp the STAMPlorations Dogwood Large with Versafine Smokey Gray onto a piece of confetti white card stock and color the image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a damp watercolor brush
• use hot glue to adhere the flowers over a layer of vellum and corrugated cardboard
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Stain Dried Marigold and Tea Dye and thread it through the hole of the tag
• add a sentiment sticker at the top left

• cut out the largest of the CUTplorations Luggage Tags from sturdy white cardstock and cover it with white gesso
• apply texture paste through the fabulous new ARTplorations Senecio 1 stencil and let it dry thoroughly
• add color using watered-down Distress Crayons (Scattered Straw, Spun Sugar, Shaded Lilac, Broken China)
• add droplets with Color Bloom Tea Stain spray and little splatters with watered down graphite Stabilo All pencil
• darken up the edges with the graphite Stabilo All pencils as well
• stamp the giraffe from the STAMPlorations Tweet Love set and color it with Copic, Touch Twin Brush and Delta Markers
• stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black and add color to the sentiment strip with Distress Crayons (Spun Sugar, Broken China)
• thread three strands of twine through the hole of the tag

from this month on I have the great joy to join the Happy Little Stampers Christmas Challenge Design Team. This month the optional twist is "Die Cuts":

• stamp the adorable little penguin from the WPlus9 Winter Pals set with Versafine (Onyx Black) and color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
• color a piece of smooth white cardstock with Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool and die cut one of the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes
• cut the sentiment strip from that same colored paper with the help of one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strips
• stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Arctic Animals set with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Pool)
• mist the stitched watercolor panel with Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Mist and let it dry thoroughly
• once it's dry run the panel through the Mini Minc together with DecoFoil (Silver Star)
• ink up the edges of the panel with Distress Ink (Broken China)
• ink up the edges of the cardbase with Distress Ink (Faded Jeans) before adhering the panel

Stamp Connection #19

Hi there,

connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Cornelia from Stempel Spass and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our 19th transatlantic get-together!

Our requirement for this meet-up was:
"foiling"

• stamp one of the adorable Mama Elephant Page Huggers onto a piece of white cardstock with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta and Touch Twin Brush Markers
• add Glossy Accents to the glasses and set the bear aside to dry
• cut out a bookmark from white cardstock using one of the Avery Elle Bookmark dies and spritz it with Heidi Swapp Minc Reactive Mist - this should also dry thoroughly
• cover the bookmark with Heidi Swapp Minc Foil (Teal Silver Ombre) and run it through the Mini Minc with a heat setting of 3
• ink up the white space of the bookmark with Distress Ink (Chipped Sapphire) and dye a piece of seam binding with that same blue ink
• stamp the sentiment from the My Favorite Things Birthday Bears stamp set with Versamark onto a strip of vellum and heat-emboss it with WOW! Silver Bells embossing powder
• wrap the vellum strip around the bookmark and use a piece of washi tape to secure it in the back
• cut out another bookmark from kraft cardstock and use it to cover the backside 
• adhere the little bear using foam tape
• thread the seam binding through the hole of the tag

it is time for a new Photo Inspiration Challenge over at Addicted to Stamps and More:

• cut out one of the My Favorite Things Flutter of Butterflies Lace from white cardstock and use the negative as a stencil
• stamp the little flower from Lawn Fawn Penelope's Blossoms through the stencil using different Altenew Crisp Inks (Frosty Pink, Cotton Candy, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields, Deep Iris)
• cut out a stitched rectangle with the help of the Waltzingmouse Stamps Stitched Rectangles
• put the butterfly die on top of the stamped shape and run it through the Big Shot to emboss it onto the panel
• cut out the Clearly Besotted Stamps thanks from white cardstock and cover the bottom portion with DIY Toner Paint - let it dry thoroughly 
• run the sentiment through the Mini Minc in order to add purple foil
• color the front of a white cardbase with Distress Ink (Dusty Concord)
• assemble the card by adhering a piece of Mulberry paper between the panel and the cardbase

• create a DIY Toner Paint by mixing black toner and Glazing Liquid
• add splatters of this toner paint to a piece of watercolor paper
• run the piece through the Mini Minc with gold foil
• cut out a Clearly Besotted Stamps Scalloped Tag from the foiled piece
• stamp the To-Go-Cup from the Skipping Stones Design Funny Coffee #1 stamp set directly onto the foiled tag using Versafine (Onyx Black)
• color the cup with Distress Markers (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Vintage Photo, Hickory Smoke) and a waterbrush
• color a strip of watercolor paper with some of those colors and cut out "this" using the Paper Smooches Documented Dies
• cut out a heart with the help of the Paper Smooches Lovely Snowflake dies from red glitter cardstock and cover it with Glossy Accents for even more shine and dimension
• stamp the coffee stains from the same stamp set onto a confetti white cardbase with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo), add additional splatters with watered-down ink and ink up the edges with this color as well
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Broken China) and thread it through the hole of the tag

• stamp the daisies again - this time with Versamark and heat-emboss them with clear embossing powder
• foil the tag using the Mini Minc and Deco Foil (Silver)
• distress a strip of patterned paper from the Maja Design Vinatge Summer Basics 6x6 paper pad and stamp the sentiment from the same stamp set with Versafine (Smokey Gray)
• dye a piece of seam binding with Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspeberry) and thread it through the hole of the tag
